......let's talk about fashion personalities.
Just how well do you know your category when it comes to fashion? of course not everyone is classy as everyone would say if asked right? Okay, okay so let's talk about this personalities....
1. Classy
When you say you're classy what do you really mean? or do you just say am classy and yeah yeah that's it? is it because you use a wine glass instead of a long glass while out there? is it because you're wearing 6 inch heels and can dance your ass out the whole night without having to get a pair of flats?
So when we talk of classy, think of the colors red, navy, beige, black....but for that chic look, I would always go for red. Red just stands out!...Keep it classy, never trashy, just a little nasty!
2. Elegant
When you say elegant you think of expensive designers right? which is true...but it shouldn't be confused with Couture! I will explain what this means..hold your horses!
So when you think elegant...think of the unusual colors...grey maybe! not complicated though...
3. Couture
Other people would say Haute Couture...doesn't really matter.
When you talk of Couture, think of the unusual and rare...(if you happen to watch the fashion tv am sure you'll have a clue what this means...it could be different pieces or just one piece of cloth.
Couture is unusual, rare and one-of-a-kind designs that one can think of and pair them up and still look chic!
Very tricky though...especially if you have no idea of fabrics.
4.Glamours/Bombshell
It's just being glam...hahaha. A person with good looks will pass for this personality....no brainer!
Think of Jerseylicious reality show on E...(Olivia being my favorite).
5. Casual/Sporty
This a look that anyone can look good in...so relaxing and easy to pair up...but if you don't know what fashion is, then am sorry you will be so so out....
Talk of denim which is the in thing right now....denim pants, shirts, shoes...I wonder what next....knickers maybe, denim? (watch out..that will be the next denim). Hoddies too will pass for this personality.
Think of any color...bright colors or earth tone colors...
6. Sophisticated
The name itself...Sophisticated tells it all. This is so lady like, oh yeah, yeah...think of that jam...Miss Independent...can you picture Kelly Clarkson ...that was a sophisticated personality.
7. Trendy
If you're into fashion, then am sure you are also a trendy person...you know what's the in thing, how to rock it...but hey I don't mean when you're into trends you should have those pieces paired up at once...(am sure you getting confused...).
Let me explain...what I mean is for example, Chiffon is the in thing....then you pair it with a denim jacket, then you have your ankara trouser, your "kiondoo" and you expect to look trendy?No way...you will end up in fashion cops thingy...thank God Joan Rivers didn't see that.
8. Dramatic
When you say dramatic, think BLACK! It's the best way to achieve this. The color gives that chic look, sexy, catchy and confident! An example is the black lip...yes this is dramatic but if done well, it will stand out. Just a tip of how to achieve this look, do you have a black jumpsuit? if yes, thumbs up! Rock it girl!
9. Eccentric
I think of Rihanna....Nicki Minaj ....Lady Gaga....Miley Cyrus...reason being, they're all risk-takers, fun, wild and unique!
The other day, Rihanna wore her 'Naked dress' by Adam Selman to the CFDA awards 2014...shocker but by now we used to her anyway....it's just her style! she's just so brave and a risk-taker...
10. Grunge
Think of Cyndi Lauper, Madonna...they really emphasized on this look...it could be anything you wear and an example is, the turn ups...it's so back.(Today my trouser has actually been turned up). That was a thing of the 80's remember!
So am sure you all have a slight idea of where you fall when it comes to fashion personalities...next time you're asked what's your personality, please don't say GIRLY..
