THE GINGHAM.

The gingham is so trending right now and you have to have this piece in your wardrobe. When I first heard of it I went like,"Gangnam?" I thought I heard 'gangnam style'. I remember sometime back I used to call it 'checked' and now it's called Gangnam ohhh Gingham!! For those of you who are still not familiar with this term, it's easy, just call it the GRIDLOCK PATTERN.

I would rock this look to the office. Simple and chic. Love the detail.

You can wear this with a pair of jeans for a Friday look. If you want to have that classy look, then you can pair it with a blazer.But it should be a plain one since the shirt already has all those grids..you don't want to look like a squared booked.

Looks like a school uniform, right? But guess what? I would rock this dress like yesterday. I totally love the simplicity and I just think it's so chic. It has that innocent look....that "aaaauuuuwwww" look.

The Crop Top.

The crop top has been there since the 40's....can you imagine that!? Oh am sure all the readers here by then were not born. That's for sure. Anyway, am here to take you through the origin of the crop top.

In the 40's, the crop top was a more conservative way of showing some skin. YEAH, SKIN.

It's had successful comeback in the 70's and the 80's..actually the ladies used to wear them to parties, picnics and look glam!

Then came the 90's...this trend was all over...It was the in thing and I remember I had this amazing top that had some long kinda 'laces' in front...I don't know the name to call it, but I think that rings a bell if you were in this era, the 90's! We were tying the blouses in front!!!

I tell you this trend was the ish thing by then. This girls were simply the best..and every other lady wanted to dress like TLC....oversize trousers, crop tops and pauuuu you good to go!

Then the trend disappeared for a while then made a comeback but with a twist from designers like; PRADA, DOLCE AND GABBANA, SALVATORE...who made this crop tops look sophisticated and trendy..

And since then, the crop top has been the trend and still is the trend. 

J Lo has this perfect waistline why lie! If you want to pull this look and don't have the best waistline, opt for a high waist pant or a skirt. That way, you wouldn't look like you trying too much. Then you get to show little skin compared to her. You know your body, so dress it appropriately!

The trick with wearing a crop top is pair it with a high waist skirt or pants. Then kill the look with the strappy heels.

This look is magical! I love it since you can still go to the office with the same look..Then another thing you never go wrong with is the NUDE heels. It tends to elongate your legs...

Spice up the look....add a detachable belt for that edgy look. Then another thing about this outfit...it's so flexible, you can dress like this to the office and look very stylish, or wear it to a meeting.....or be the boss lady and wear it to a club...I mean be different! That's what I call style!

You can opt for brown-strap heels and a brown clutch or go all NUDE....wear nude heels... The nude heels instantly elongate your legs.

I love love love love love.....anyone can rock this heels and still look the ish!

So when I say detail is key when it comes to fashion, this is the detail I talk about. After all, a girl should be two things, classy and fabulous.

Some of the top fashion faux pas that you need to look out for this year and the years to come are;

Peeking bra straps.
This is almost like a nightmare why lie....everyone if not all have done this blunder.

Really?? this is a NO NO NO...you have your tank top and you want to wear a bra? then go for the racerback bra or strapless bra....this is what you should go for..or at least have it in your closet. You never know you may need it not only for the tank tops but for your dinner dresses, jumpsuits...

Alternatively you can opt for a criss cross bra.

Or you can opt for strapless...

Poor fitting heels 

You've bought those cute cute pair of heels only to realize that was the last pair...and the smallest size. So you decide I will buy them anyway...I had better have a bigger size than a smaller size.

You then dash...with your sandals and socks on...you end up in a shopping mall....seriously?

Finally we have the color of the year 2015! Want to give it a guess?

.......well the color is MARSALA. Please don't confuse it with chips masala...yummy color I guess. Anyone would confuse it with the color Maroon or Burgundy. But I still think I can call it any of the names...mmmh?
