Just Glam!

It's always every woman's dream to look her best in her wedding...the gown is all that really matters on this big day. The rest comes after the gown..if you are a lady you will second me on this one. No brainer!

Take a look at this beautiful gown I wore for my big day...

This was how the back looked...

Pic taken by: G Media
Gown: Sweetheart Ruffled mermaid gown
Fabric: Organza
Color: White

The theme was black and yellow.....

The front looked like this....I also designed the maids outfit and got a tailor to make the lovely yellow dresses...I totally loved the maids dresses and ohhh my gown too..... Incase your wondering where I got the gown from.........it's from Turkey and it's out for hire.. Just hit my inbox on facebook https://www.facebook.com/jackykendy. For the maids dresses I used my tailor, Nanu, you can follow her on facebook https://www.facebook.com/pages/Favoloso-BY-NANU/670904102954270

The maids dresses fabric was artificial silk from a shop in Westlands, Nairobi. It then had some bead work around the neck and the lower right side...can you see the flower beading? It also had a button hole at the front.

The veil was a cathedral veil....

So if your wedding is months away, you can reach me on my facebook account and you can also rock this mermaid gown...it's out for hire with a ring petticoat, a white cathedral veil, a fasinator with a veil and a bag to carry it along.....the bag is convertible, you can also hang your gown without it being exposed to dirt as you await for that big day.....the princess crown will be a discount!

Be the lucky bride!!!

Evening dresses with sexy backs!

Every woman loves to feel good and sexy at the same time..that's why today I would love to share one of my favorite evening dresses from my closet...

Pic taken: Outside Jankam Tailoring, Kenwood house.

This particular evening dress was tailor made and it just came out to my expectations. I looked for a design from the internet and I was so particular...."pics of sexy long evening dresses". I saved the pictures and printed the best, and this was the design. I don't really have a particular color and so it was really difficult to settle on a color that will compliment my skin color. But finally I settled for purple...it's more chic and elegant!

My tailor was really challenged when I first gave her the design. I insisted that I really loved the design and couldn't wait to own it! She asked me to give her two weeks...I didn't mind. I just kept telling her that it should look exactly the same like the pics I had given her. That is just me. I love perfection...and for those of you who ever watched Peter Perfect on E would know what am talking about....he loved perfection in his work. Kimora Lee the same thing, she loves perfection!

Take a look at it's back....this was my idea...I decided to cover up and not to show too much skin.

The outcome was to my expectation...!!

The dress had a cocktail back...it was slightly longer just like those dresses celebs wear for the red carpet hmm I thought so!! the difference was only that the pic was taken next to a door and no red carpet......

Dress made by: Mary, Jankam Tailoring, Kenwood House, 4th floor.

Fabric: Stretch

Decor: Indian decoration

The shoes I wore for the evening were silver wedge shoes that were really comfortable...I loved them.

My jewelery was silver...that just tells you how much Kendy loves silver...for the evening I only wore the silver earrings and my gold rings since my dress had a bit of Indian decor that was gold...I also mix and match just like Rihanna!!(smiling***)

Jewelery bought from: Gowns and Roses shop, Diamond plaza, Parklands

Shoes bought from: Backyard shop, Jamia Mall.

This is how my hair was done for the evening....

I loved the hairdo...it's so chic...my make-up person doing her thing right there....am sure by now you all know who she is right?

Fashion is instant language

One of my favorite celebs.....I just love Rihanna's style honestly.

This look is best for a night out or just wear doll shoes and you good to go for swimming!

Take a look at how she has paired her tribal print top with an acid washed streaked jeans...it's just awesome! She added a modernist-link chain necklace and she killed it...perfect match! But of course Riri is know for her mix and match outfits...so it really ain't a big thing I guess.

This look is best worn while up and about...on a chilly day...but still look trendy!

Leggings can be paired with anything long, short and still look good. But if you want to have that edgy and dressy look, always go for a metallic one but not black. Colored metallic leggings adds up to that edgy look...pair it with a leather jacket to spice up the look.

Sweatshirt with leather patches is back and it's a killer I tell you...you can rock it with this pair of ragged jeans and still look glam and of course make a statement. Pair it with a modernist chain-link necklace and a simple north-south handbag to complete the entire look.

This look is best for a Saturday especially for a gig...make a statement!

I believe fashion is an instant language and anyone can have style...fashion fades but style is eternal that's what I would say..it doesn't matter the age bracket that one is but always remember to dress your age.

Never forget to use leather to dress up your casual outfits...that is a style secret right there! always have in mind that 'fashion can be bought but style one must possess'-Edna Woolman Chase.

Style it Girl

Look fabulous from head to toe always. The three nail polish colors are my favorite; red, pink and maroon...

Don't ever leave the house ladies with chipped nail polish...it's something one can easily under look but can really make one so uncomfortable while out with friends and even worse when in a meeting and to make it worse, when chairing a meeting. You feel like you want to hide them under the table..

Let me not even go far. This has happened to me and guess what....it was so embarrassing!

It was a Monday I remember vividly.I left the house in a rush and forgot that my nails were a mess! I had guests during the weekend...cooking and washing dishes!!am sure you now know why I say my nails were a mess right?

Okay away from the TMI...I got to work not so late. The day was slow being a Monday..I noticed my nail polish had chipped off and decided that evening I was going to have the nail polish removed. I tried removing the chipped polish to make it look better but I guess I made it even look worse...and guess what color I had applied? RED...it looked so bad I tell yah!

So you can imagine chipped red nail polish hmm not very good at all..

After work I was taken out for dinner at a very very good five star hotel..(ain't bragging). He took me by surprise you know....but luckily enough that day I was smart...had this LBD that really looked good.

We got to the hotel...drinks were served and that night we did Alacarte so as we waited for the main food, I noticed he was staring at me....I later noticed he was staring at my nails....he didn't say a thing but I got the hint.....my nails were bad bad bad....the whole dinner I was so uncomfortable I had to make it clear to my husband that I will get my nails done....I just had to. He is my best friend so it was easy to pull that out without having that feeling of "this guy will always remember my chipped off nail polish if we ever have dinner again''. Never again will I leave the house with chipped off nail polish....

Get that bold and elegant look this month...go for a bold color that compliments your skin color...a manicure and a pedicure is a MUST to bring out that classy nail do. So ladies always make sure that your nails are perfect....if the polish is chipped and you are late for an appointment or a date, carry your remover....don't forget your clear nail polish or nail hardener...it's not messy compaired to the colored ones.....carry it too you can get a chance to apply while on traffic so that your nails don't look too plain...that is my style secret!
